The Public Works Department's main responsibilities are to maintain all Transportation and Environmental areas of the Town of Fort Frances

The Public Works Department Employs a Total of 24 Unionized Employees and 4 Management Employees.

Management Employees consist of:

Manager of Operations and Facilities, Transportation Superintendent, Environmental and Facilities Superintendent, and 1 Secretary / Receptionist

Unionized Employees consist of: 1 Foreman, 1 Leadhand, 2 Mechanics, 1 GIS Person, 1 Storeskeeper, 3 Equipment Operators, 2 Truck Drivers, 7 Labourers, 3 Certified Water Treatment Plant Operators, 2 Certified Water Distribution Workers, and 1 Waste Water Collection Worker.

Part-Time staff is employed during the summer months.

Municipal Hazardous & Special Waste Day - September 7th, 2013 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Public Works Yard at 900 Wright Avenue

Fall Cleanup - Saturday November 2, 2013 - 10:00am to 5:00pm
